02 - THE DRIVE-THRU
Perks worth the miles.
Every card below is a reason drivers stay with the fleet for years, not months.
PAY
Checks every Friday
Weekly settlements paid every Friday. Transparent per-mile rate, plus a $200 cash advance available after your first loaded run.
HOME TIME
3 weeks out, 3-4 days home
Take the truck home with you - unless you're in Florida. FL drivers fly home and back, and we cover the ticket.
LANES
Midwest & Southeast
No West Coast. We run the Midwest and Southeast hard and fast at 70 mph - miles that actually get you home.
03 - THE ODOMETER
Dial in your miles.
How your pay is calculated.
Your weekly pay is a simple equation: the miles you drive multiplied by your per-mile rate. Our drivers average 3,000–4,000 miles per week. No hidden deductions, no surprise fees - just a transparent number that grows with the miles you run.
Estimate based on $0.75 per mile for experienced OTR company drivers. Actual pay depends on lane, freight type, endorsements and dispatched miles.

ABOUT HAUL CONNECT
Built by drivers, for drivers.
Haul Connect started in 2010 with three trucks and a simple idea: treat drivers like the elite pilots of the economy they are. Fifteen years later we run a fleet of late-model equipment across all 48 states, but the principle hasn't changed - honest pay, modern trucks, and routes that get you home.
We're not a mega-carrier where you're a number. Your recruiter knows your name, your dispatcher knows your lanes, and your paycheck shows up every Friday without surprises.
05 - RADIO CHATTER
Straight from the cab.
“Home every weekend, paid every Friday. First fleet that actually kept its word.”
“Truck was clean, APU worked, nobody argued about the detention pay. That’s rarer than it should be.”
“Dispatch calls me by my name, not my truck number. Three years in and I’m not going anywhere.”
06 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Before you roll out.
What are the minimum requirements to drive for Haul Connect?
Two years of verifiable OTR experience, a valid CDL-A, a current DOT medical card, and proof of mail. Level 1 and Level 2 inspections have to be clean on your record. If you're in the SAP system we can't hire you, regardless of when you completed it.
How does home time work?
Three weeks out, then 3-4 days at home. You take the truck home with you - the only exception is Florida, where drivers fly home and back and we cover the ticket while the truck stays at the yard.
What kind of trucks and trailers do you run?
Late-model automatics with APUs, inverters and fridges, governed at 70 mph. Dry van and reefer freight. Every truck goes through a full service check before it's assigned to you.
When and how do I get paid?
Settlements are cut every Friday. Unloaded loads count toward the prior week, loaded loads toward the next. The base rate averages $0.75 per mile with no hidden deductions, and a $200 cash advance is available weekly after your first loaded run.
What are the costs and deductions?
A $2,500 escrow collected as 10 weekly deductions of $250, and $43 a week for occupational insurance taken from your settlement. Escrow is refundable when you leave in good standing. That's the full list.
What lanes do you run, and how fast can I go?
Midwest and Southeast only - no West Coast, no I-5 corridor. Trucks are set at 70 mph, which is what keeps drivers in the 3,000-4,000 mile range most weeks.
How does orientation work, and can you help me get there?
Orientation runs in Chicago and takes two days - paperwork, drug screen, road test and truck assignment. If you're coming from out of state we cover your ticket. You just show up ready to roll.
How long does the hiring process take?
Most drivers go from application to orientation in under a week. A recruiter calls you within 24 hours of applying, and the rest depends on how fast your previous employers verify your work history.
